Artiv Hub is a newly established creative space that uses arts to advocate for social change. The initiative aims to put up an arts facility that is fully equipped to operate a creative school and an art interaction center that will host students and creatives to be involved in art education for driving social change.To raise funds to establish all these, Artiv Hub is organizing and will run a fundraising campaign starting from 14th to 23rd December 2015 called ‘Pedal for Arts’. ‘Pedal for Arts’ will involve the founder members, well-wishers, sponsors and other interested parties cycling for a distance of 1000KM from Mombasa to Maseno through Nairobi, Nyeri, Nyahururu, Nakuru and Kisumu with music performance stops along the way to raise Ksh. 4 M.
Objectives
Cycle a for a 1000km from Mombasa to Maseno through Nairobi, Nyeri, Nyahururu, Nakuru and Kisumu with music performance stops at every major centre and town along the route.
Use the cycling challenge as a campaign to create awareness on the need for arts accessibility to all and fundraise Ksh. 4m for establishing an arts facility to educate on the use of arts for social change.
