Ever since a young age I have loved the water. I think since I was 4 years old I have been one with the water and as a teenager the love for photography came up. Fast forward to 2008 I joined Daystar University to undertake a Degree in Communication. This is where I professionally learned how to use a DSLR(Digital Single Reflex) camera. Ever since then I have learned the in’s and out’s of my 7D DSLR camera, which I acquired in 2012 from my parents.

As I continued to discover my talent as a photographer I was not feeling fulfilled and that got me to thinking what I need to change. I learned over time that ‘if you love what you do you will never have to work a day in your life.’ That was when I began my journey to discovering who I really was and what I loved to do. The first thing that popped into my head was swimming and photography so(light bulb moment) UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY! This was 2014 and that’s when I bought my first underwater casing for my camera. I got it and used it at many of my trips to capture memories underwater.

In one of my trips to Tanzania I went to Kikuletwa spring and there I totally fell in love with underwater photography because of what I saw while there. From then on, I knew that I wanted to explore the underwater Garden of Eden and share it with millions through my lens.

As the years went one I continued with regular photography but I never felt satisfied with it. Then came 2017 and I was determined to turn my dream into a reality.  I put aside my fear and began research on what equipment I’d need to further be able to pursue my dream. I found out that a GoPro is a good camera to use underwater and is water resistant so I’d not have to incur the cost of housing. I was able to get myself one this year (2018) and all the accessories I need to use it. I also discovered that to be able to take better shots underwater I need to be able to know how to free dive and/scuba dive.

On 10th Jan I found a course offering just what I need to be able to get my dream career in motion. Oceantribe in Diani ( http://oceantribe.co/ ) offers exactly what I need. The package is a bespoke Beginner to Divemaster Program under PADI (Professional Association of Diving Insttructors).

Total Cost comes to $6000 payable over 3 monthly instalments of $2000. This is inclusive of 3 Months Self-Catering Accomodation. The first payment is required prior to the start of the program to enable accommodation booking and purchase of relevant dive materials and equipment. I have been able to come up with $1000 and just need your help getting the rest of the payment. Kindly donate and help me turn my dreams into a reality! Thank you and God bless.
