L’Arche Kenya is an all-inclusive organization that promotes inclusion of all irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status.

The organization strives to give adults with intellectually disabilities a meaningful life experience in her homes and workshops by discovering, nurturing and making known their gifts and talents to the society.

This is done by welcoming adults with intellectual disabilities into the L’Arche community life either as live in or as live out members.

L’Arche Kenya has two homes where adults with and without intellectual disabilities share life in a normal family setup.

The live-out members (adults with intellectual disabilities) are welcomed to share in the work life of L’Arche in seven occupational therapy workshops. They also have moments to share in the life of the L’Arche community besides living with their parents/guardians.

L’Arche Kenya seeks to expand its occupational therapy workshops to production workshops that would generate income and create employment for more adults with intellectual disabilities.

L’Arche Kenya has therefore organized a fundraiser through a climb to Mt. Kenya by wheelchair this September from 5th to 7th.

The organization seeks support from all people of good will to enable it develop three key workshops that will produce enough products/services for both internal consumption and external market. These workshops are – Bakery, Laundry and Farm. The farm workshop shall be categorised into poultry and green house projects.
