Support Girls Learn Web Development

Pwani Teknowgalz’s mission is to impact girls from marginalised areas with technology skills especially in website and mobile development in Mombasa. Our ultimate goal is to contribute  to achieve SDG 5 specifically;enhancement of  the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.

We provide web and mobile app development classes to young women in Mombasa and mentor them on how they can implement the skills taught. However, most of our students are high schools are not able to afford the class fees to attend our ongoing classes which are $100 per month, with the girls passion to learn. We call upon well wishers to support five passionate trainers at Pwani Teknowgalz to impact 50 girls with web development skills this year. The skills will  assist the girls who are not also able to join college to earn a living an be able to support themselves and the family. Pwani Teknowgalz arranges to introduce the girls who have benefited from the program to online freelance companies where they will be able to work on projects to generate revenue. We plan to keep an open accountancy of the funds raised whereby as an organisation we are ready to share how the funds have been used to facilitate the training  of 100 girls in Mombasa.
