A 400 MARKS TOP GIRL LIKELY TO LOSE HER CHANCE TO STUDY AT KENYA HIGH.

Quinta Opiyo Ajiambo, the top pupil in Bunyala Central ward will lose her chance to study at Kenya High school if well-wishers don't step in. Quinta Apiyo scored 400 marks in KCPE in 2017 but given the economic situation of the family, enrollment at Kenya High School remains a pipe dream. Her  father James Opiyo Bwanda, a village tailor, has struggled to save ahead of today but says he cannot manage to raise the Year 1, required fee of ksh 53,544 plus the shopping and other related costs Ksh 46 350.

Quinta's teachers attest to her discipline, consistency and industry. Their plea is to have Quinta get an enabling environment to nurture her since she is an "A ". "I started saving for my daughter since second term last year from the repairs that I do. I have managed to save Ksh 9,500 by now, "  he narrated. He says he may have no option but to take the child to a nearby day school if things remain constant. Quinta has been beside herself with grief after several attempts to obtain alternative funding from available scholarship opportunities.
