Thank you and welcome.Forests are fast disappearing,rivers are drying up,water source heavily polluted due to over use of chemical,there is lots of firewood and charcoal harvesting,agricultural land is reducing and becoming less productive as the available land is poorly used and pollution is growing day and night at an alarming rate.We have been developing and testing a holistic approach to value chain development of neglected and underutilized species that addresses issues across the inter-related segments of the value chain, bridges the gap between conservation and use, and leverages the nutrition and sustainability benefits of target crops and animals such as exotic poultry and pigs to achieve livelihood and sustainability benefits. Through a multi-stakeholder, participatory, inter-disciplinary, pro-poor and gender-sensitive approach, activities undertaken in this framework span from seed selection and enhancing cultivation, post-harvest, value addition, and marketing to surveying, collecting and conserving genetic diversity. we are teaming up with Sun Culture a company based in Nairobi, Kenya which sells the AgroSolar Irrigation Kit, an entirely solar-powered drip irrigation system that makes it easier and cheaper for farmers to grow a wide variety of crops. The kit combines solar water pumping technology with high-efficiency drip irrigation and includes everything a farmer needs to grow more while spending less, in a sustainable and energy-efficient way. Jabez Foundation has developed a novel and unique product that simplifies farming and increases crop yields We are also the only “one-stop shop” for small scale Kenyan farmers, as we provide a solar water pumping solution, an entire drip irrigation kit, agronomic services, educational training, access to capital and access to markets in rural Kenya – Our approach focuses on quality of both product and services.
